Resuce Mission Donations - Upping the Ante

Ginny, Charlie, thanks for pointing out that Friday was 6 years to the day that we lost Chuck. I wasn’t aware of that at the time. But I don’t believe for a moment that it was a coincidence I was moved to send yesterday’s email.

I’m asking for extraordinary measures in extraordinary times.  Each year, in support of BAH, the Rescue Mission has provided a truck and support staff, and they have cooked the celebration meal for the BAH final rally. Historically, we have solicited our sponsors to raise funds for our selected non-profit. All of whom have benefited from the Rescue Mission's support.

It’s now time for us to step up personally and give back. We need to support those who have supported us. Ask your sponsors to help.

As one of the only organizations that provides their services it is crucial to our community that the Rescue Mission be able to continue their mission. And, at the moment, they're putting their own lives at risk to do it.

A group of us will match the first $4000 donated, dollar for dollar. That means at least $8000 in donations. This is an opportunity to double your donation! Reach out to your sponsors, provide them Mary Gay’s message and ask them to join us in supporting the Rescue Mission.

Please consider helping out. To be matched, either send your donations to me (104 E. Prospect St, Hopewell, NJ 08525), checks made out to: Rescue Mission of Trenton or make your donations in memory of Chuck Inman, directly on the Rescue Mission website.

There’s no doubt in my mind, Rich.  I can almost see Chuck nudging you toward the computer and putting the words in your head.  Thank you for doing that, and as always, for your passion and commitment.

 

I just went to the Rescue Mission’s website and set up recurring donations of $150/month in memory of Chuck.  While I’m sure I’ll continue those donations beyond this year, I’d be grateful if you would count as much of them as you need to use in order to get to the $4,000 mark.

In case you haven't heard, I wanted you to know that Rich Albe passed away from a heart attack on Wednesday. Chris and Rich had been staunch supporters of BAH from the beginning and had been on the SAG team for many years. Because of COVID-19, a memorial service will be held sometime after restrictions are lifted. Please keep Chris and their family in prayer.

My sister in Monmouth Jan and I both sew and she  has been making them as she is glued to her machine when she’s not working! If there is a need for a bunch of these, I can start making them and see if my sister would like to pitch in done of hers.
