It travels at around 27000+ km/hr... So for a person on ground, your entire horizon can be covered in few seconds

The ISS takes about 4-5 minutes to go from horizon to horizon, as seen from one location. It depends on the path it is taking in the sky, whether it is traversing very high in the sky or a low horizon hugging curve. Many a times it goes dark before it sets because it enters the shadow of the earth.

Hello
Good evening to all, I recently joined this wonderful group.
As a radio amateur, I do track ISS from time to time for radio signal reception. Software like gpredict (https://github.com/csete/gpredict) helps to track satellites.

Iss sightings are the brightest and the longest when the path follows around the zenith

Spotted the ISS for the first time today. It was really bright tonight and what speed it zooms af!
Any other recent spotters?
