Olivera name or Bettencourt name on the island of San Miguel

Are either of these names favored in a particular location on San Miguel?

Trying to help a friend get started on her genealogical journey with little information.

Nope. Oliveira is all over the place. Bettencourt is found more often in the central island group.

Are you sure you are supposed to be searching Sao Miguel?

Coincidentally my MIL is Oliveira on her mom's side and Bettencourt on her dad's side and she's from Faial.
