<<What is the FTDNA test? >>

Answer:
Family Tree DNA (FTDNA) is a DNA testing company for genealogy. They offer a variety of DNA testing: Y-DNA, mtDNA, and autosomal DNA (they call it Family Finder).

If you have a specific brickwall, you may definitely want one type of DNA testing over another. If you are just getting into DNA testing for genealogy and have no specific goals, you'd want to start with Family Finder. And you'd want to test the oldest relative in your family first. And if you are the oldest, then test yourself.

www.ftdna.com  Pick Family Finder.

However, there's a genealogy conference this weekend and FTDNA is a vendor and they will have specials at the conference. I'm going this weekend, so stay tuned for pricing!

<<OK where can I purchase a FTDNA Kit. No use staying in the darkness when you have gone to so much trouble to build a tree>>
