Hi everyone,

I'm excited to have found this group!

I've recently been researching my family history, specifically João Afonso das Grotas Fundas, who is one of my direct ancestors. Over the years, a member of my family has dedicated a tremendous amount of time to researching our genealogy and has been able to trace our family line back to some of the earliest settlers of São Miguel.

We've collected a significant amount of historical documentation, family records, and research, and I'd be more than happy to share what we have with anyone researching the same families. Likewise, I'd love to connect with others who may have additional information or documents that could help fill in some of the remaining pieces of the puzzle.

I live in Toronto, Canada, where my parents immigrated in the 1970s, but our family's roots remain firmly in the Azores.
