assistance with the lineage of Gomes and da Costa Vasconcelos

I am new here and am researching my Portuguese history.

I am the granddaughter of Rozelle Gomes (married David Kauhaahaa)

I am the great granddaughter of Manuel F Gomes and Amy Y Sakamoto

I am the great great granddaughter of Francisco Gomes Sr and Theresa da Costa Vasconcelos (also seen spelled as Vasconcellos)

I am under the impression that Francisco's is the son of Manuel Gomes and Joanna UNKNOWN (but this has not been verified. Francisco was born January 25 1868 in Ponta Delgada, Sao Vicente Municipality, Madeira

I do not have further information on the Gomes family and would love some guidance.

I am under the impression that Theresa is the daughter of Jose da Costa Vasconcelos and Margarida Pedro Rodrigues. Margarida, after finding out that her husband died of malaria in Brazil, relocated to Maui with almost all of her children on the SS Bell Rock in 1883.

I believe that Jose is the son of Jose da Costa Vasconcelos and Victoria de Conceicao.

Although I was raised with Portuguese roots, my family leaned heavily towards the Hawaiian side.
