Portuguese Genealogy Conference in Salt Lake City

The next Portuguese Genealogical Conference and Research Trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, will be in the SPRING, 2021. No conference will be held in 2020.

The date will be announced this coming spring (2020), so you will have approximately a 1 year notice.

I'll start saving my pennies.   It was such a worthwhile beginning last time.  I will be ready for more advanced thinking in 2021.

Yes, it's over 20 hours of lecture and lab time with over 10 hours of research time. We try to make it a bargain, the best that we can.

No, we do not isolate the islands. It's all the same for all 9 of the Azores, both of the Madeira Islands, the mainland, and all 9 of the Cape Verde islands. The only difference is getting used to your priest's or scribe's writing. So it's all the same.

I’m so glad to see you were able to join this group. They are extremely helpful. The conference is the best. You walk away with so any new tools and ideas to aide you in your research. If you do a search on the author we talked about you will see that he offers it at a discount if you buy from him and if you buy the books in bundles or a complete set. He is a member in this group.

Cecilia just in case you want information sooner, Joao Ventura is planning on doing some small workshop is the Central Valley area of California spring of 2020. I’m looking at the Kingsburg area. I’m hoping I can get enough interest. Do you think you would be interested?

He also includes it at the bottom of his post. He often refers the books when answering the questions. I just love the way he does not hold the information or the links to the records from you. He gives you the info in response to your question. Many times he provides you with links to the records and additional information. Every time I have followed his research it has been accurate.  ‘m looking forward to getting a set of his books. I want to check to see if my work agrees with his research.

 

I’m hoping Philipp Garnier sees this post and creates a new post or at least replys to this one. It appears there are several people in the Facebook group that are interested in his books. I’m hoping they follow you and join this group. Philipp has been so helpful in my Altares research. Not only for me but many of my DNA found cousins too.

Uhh, the topic of this thread is "Portuguese Genealogy Conference and Research Trip in Salt Lake City." Philippe and his books aren't affiliated with the conference.

To start a new thread or topic, open a new email. In the address, put azo...@googlegroups.com. In the subject put something like Philippe Garnier and Familias da Ilha da Terceira. Then in the body, write your query. Then a discussion can be held there on his books instead of this thread about the Portuguese Conference in Salt Lake City in 2021.
