Help reading a Altares Marriage record 1697

The record on the right side of the page has N. instead of names. Was this just a sample of how the records are suppose to look? Or is something else happening here? The handwriting is clear and easy to read. I just do not have the Portuguese language skills to understand what is going on. Thanks
