Hello
I thought that when you see “Ignorada” it meant that the person is unknown.

I just saw Ignorada with a last name of Alvernas. ??????

So what does Ignorada mean? Is it a first name ?

Without seeing the record, we don't know what you are looking at. It's most likely Ignacia.

Liz, OK, if you want to go with it, then go right ahead. The CITCEM was created by humans (sociology students) and many genealogy researchers have reported many errors. I'm sure no one would name their daughter "Ignored."

I know of their mistakes.  I fight it all the time. I was just really curious as their one “ignored” had a last name.  Lolol

Liz, I just saw this post as I was gone all day helping with an Estate Sale. I think that all they are saying is that they are ignorant of the first name. You don't say who the ignorata is, the father, mother, woman, who??
