I went to Tombo.pt to look at all records held by the CCA for Fenais da Luz.
Baptisms start in 1672.
Marriages start in 1687.
Obitos start in 1698.
Fairly close together in time, although I would surmise there's a missing book or two.
Tombo.pt also provides the Wikipedia link so you can check out the history of Fenais da Luz. Also, Tombo.pt says something about Rabo de Peixe. That freguesia does go back further although they a missing a lot of early marriages.

I have encountered Rego Baldaia in Riberia Grande (NS Estrella) and the records go back much further. There was a thread on this list in Jul 2017 Subject [AZORES-Genealogy] Rego Baldaias of Lagoa . I saved the thread and have it in my documents as my 9th GGF in in my line, this line is also in Genealogies of Rodrigo Rodrigues
