I believe it is Capitulina.  I have seen it before but it's not common.

Thanks Bill,

It is an interesting name. It sounds like the English word "capitulate" I would wonder what meaning the name Capitulina would have in Portuguese"  This is the first one I have come across in my database of almost 10,000 people.

Hi, Richard!

The given name seems to be "Capitolina" or "Capitulina".

According to this site https://www.essexmums.com/names/capitolina-2/ it is Latin based and means "she who lives with the gods".  Perhaps inspired by Saint Capitolina who was martyred in Cappadocia in the year 307.  See https://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=2592

I had an aunt and Great-Grandmother that were were called Capitolina and the baptism referenced looks like it was spelled with a "U" instead of "O" like I've seen it.  Not a very common name, only have seen it twice in my tree which has over 22,000 names.

Could it be Capiterlina?
