Good afternoon, all,

Just to let you know, I’ll be stepping down as co-chair of AVSIG at the end of 2025. It’s been four years - I’m moving on to some other commitments now and handing on the baton to a new co-chair.

It’s a great pleasure to introduce Junrong Yu as co-chair from 2026. There will be continuity, with Natalia staying on for 2026.

Join us in welcoming Junrong! Jun has been an active member of AVSIG for the last few years, and many of you will know her. Jun is a Software Engineer at The University of Queensland (TERN), specialising in semantic web technologies and knowledge graph systems, applying these skills to harmonise ecological datasets and make them more FAIR and reusable.

It was a pleasure to co-chair, and I’d like to thank you all for your participation and support, particularly Rowan and Natalia. I look forward to continuing to participate in AVSIG.

Best Regards

Megan

Thanks Megan

A pleasure working with you in this capacity, and welcome Junrong to the role!

things are afoot to join the dots between vocabularies and APIs, especially the OGC but also in other contexts - so plenty to keep us busy and hope you stay in the loop Megan!
