I have a simple question about the new AutoPkgr Version 1.4.2 with VirusTotalAnalyzer.
What happens if a virus or malicious file is found? Nothing or does this recipe fails?
Thanks a lot
Tom

Hi Tom,

VirusTotalAnalyzer simply reports the detection ratio of malicious files. For example:

  • 0/54 — Good.
  • 1/57 — Suspicious.
  • 20/59 — Bad.
  • 0/0 — Inconclusive/unknown.

Since VirusTotalAnalyzer is a post-processor, it's not capable of causing a recipe run to fail or interrupting the import of software into Munki or a JSS. It's simply a reporting tool.

I encourage you to submit ideas and feedback to the processor's author, if you're comfortable doing so!
