I have created a number of queries and I realised that I have gotten the Range addresses incorrect. is there anyway of changing them in the query sheet. I haven managed to paste in the correct ranges and deleted the query id's but when i go to refresh it just overwrites them with the original Ranges.

any ideas?

The tool determines the range primarily based on a named range, which is "zsupermetrics_" concatenated with the query ID. Only if this named range can't be found from the spreadsheet, will it look at the value in the Range address column. So to move a query, do either of the following:
  • Select the old query range, cut and paste the the new location. This should move the named range. You can check the named range location from the menu bar Data->Named ranges.
  • Another option is to find the query in the SupermetricsQueries sheet, delete the query ID, and then type the new address to the Range address column. When you then refresh your queries, the tool can't find a named range for that query (because there isn't a query ID anymore), and will then create a new named range at the address specified in the Range address column.

I have a similar problem, I use a formula to reference start date, end date and other columns in SuperMetricsQueries sheet. Like =sheet1!A1. My problem is that, when I hit refresh, the program overwrites my formulas. Can some one, please help me with that?!

I do this too, but don't have any problems with it. Are you putting the reference dates IN the SuperMetricsQueries sheet, or are they on another sheet? So for instance, I have a sheet I call Parameters, with the StartDate in 'Parameters'!A1. In the Start date field on the SuperMetricsQueries sheet, I'll enter

='Parameters'!A1

Or I'll name the range "StartDate", and just enter

=StartDate

Does that help?
