Hi!
I've been helping a friend who has hand issues use Automate to add NFC button functionality (vintage Dimple buttons) to add hardware hotkeys to their phone.

Works surprisingly well but every time NFC button is detected there's this nasty sound

Which grows really annoying for a person who has to use NFC buttons a lot.

It appears that there is a way in android to prevent that: https://developer.android.com/reference/android/nfc/NfcAdapter#FLAG_READER_NO_PLATFORM_SOUNDS

Yubico app seems to implement this: https://github.com/Yubico/yubioath-flutter/issues/863

It would be very awesome if you could please add a "silence platform NFC sound" as option (perhaps per-block, perhaps as a global preference, whichever you deem best)

I wonder why the messages aren’t making it to my actual inbox. Perhaps Exchange is quarantining them? Hm.

Sadly, that's only possible when using a foreground Activity in "reader mode", the NFC tag scanned block doesn't since Automate is running in the background.
The flag could be added to the Activity shown when using "Read tag" button, but that's probably not what you're requesting, and i don't see any problem with the sound playing there.

Oh, that's unfortunate.
I guess me and my friend will have to find some other way to silence the NFC (I have a few radical ideas)
