Hi – newbie question

I need to create maps which display features on bioth sides of the dateline (eg. The New Zealand EEZ)

Currently using NZGD2000 & WGS84 but anything with a longitude to the east of 180ºW appears waaay across to the left.

How do I get QGIS to show me both sides of 180º contiguously?

Many thanks

One way to do it is to use a fake longitude domain, going from 0 to 360 instead of -180 to +180. You can use a QGIS plugin to convert your data to this longitude domain:

Another way to do it is to use a fancy projection called WGS 84 / PDC Mercator, EPSG:3832. This projection usually works, but sometimes there will be some pretty obvious geometry errors.

There isn't a great solution, but try these out and see what you think.
