July's movie is American Factory, a tragicomic documentary about Chinese glass manufacturer Fuyao's reopening of a former GM plant in Ohio. This film explores the impacts of globalization on US manufacturing, clashes between US and Chinese labor cultures, and unionization in the aftermath of the Great Recession.
