Some Bohemian Waxwings may have arrived here in Kennebec County today. There were 300-500 reported this morning on the Colby campus and Cheryl Ring had 80 in Augusta as well (but they didn't stick around long there). May be worth checking other spots with crabapples.

I was just over at Longfellows in Manchester and there were a few Cedar Waxwings, plus Robins and a couple Purple Finches. I've been hearing isolated Redpolls flying over in the past week or two. Evening Grosbeaks have been popping up at various feeders in the county over the last month, often not sticking around for more than a day or two.

Oh dangit! I'm at the Thomas campus with no camera. Thanks for the info.

I had a flock of at least 100 waxwings overhead in Pittsfield yesterday, but they did not land anywhere accessible (and I had to go back to work, anyway...)

We had about 100 bohemians perched at the top of a maple tree here at the top of Central Street in Hallowell.

Tuesday and Wednesday there was a flock at "The Commons" (housing units) 110 College Ave. Waterville. Yesterday I counted at least 70, along with a few Cedar Waxwings.

When Bohemians were around a couple of winters ago, there was a spot on Mayflower Hill Road north of First Ridgeway and south of the entrance to the Perkins Arboretum that they spent some time clearing fruit from trees on both sides of the road.

Great to hear of these sightings!
Evening Grosbeaks have visited here twice, just before storms, this winter.
I am enjoying the company of a dozen Eastern Bluebirds daily here at the feeders all winter (West Gardiner).

Just had big flocks of Bohemians in Hallowell and Augusta (Capitol Park), they're everywhere right now!

I’m at Longfellow’s now and there are dozens of cedar and bohemian waxwings along with robins and eastern bluebirds.  Thanks for letting us know about this great birding spot!

I just left Longfellow’s (12:30), and a huge flock of Bohemians is still there! Such a cool experience watching them fly back and forth overhead from tree to tree. Happy birding!

Drove all over Waterville yesterday/Friday from 130 - 230 checking out crabapple locations and could not see any Waxwings.  Passed by The Head of Falls park and what appeared to be about a flock of 30 birds that I think were likely Waxwings whizzed by, probably heading south to Augusta, Manchester and Hallowell!!!!!

I caught up with 250-300 Bohemian waxwings on the Whitten road this afternoon. They were in the trees next to the brown building next to merit pools.
