Dear all,

we have been struggling with high nutrient levels for a very long time in NoBa, but have managed to limit the issue to only a few polygons (had to add decay).

all these polygons are 'the last ones' in the north, before the end of the model grid, and if i change the decay even more, there are no nutrients left in the other polygons, the same goes for limiting the growth rates of phytoplankton etc.

There are no sources coming in, and we have checked/rechecked the physics.

I'm wondering if anyone have experience with this, and if adding sinks in these three polygons would help?

we are running on the newest trunk version.

best,

cecilie

What does the hydrodynamic exchange rates for those boxes look like vs other boxes more central to the model domain?

Cheers

Beth

Hi beth!

they are similar, or lower.  input/output variation seem reasonable, and are to layers that exists.

best,

cecilie
