Hi,
Has any Atlantis model looked at the effects of light?

Thanks

G’day

In a way all models do because if you’d have enough light the phytoplankton and macrophytes won’t grow 😊

Shading is built into the plankton and primary producer parts of the model as is water type (only roughly in terms of coastal vs open ocean) and is why I’m always keen people get their pelagic detritus and mix of phytoplankton groups under control 😊

If you’re running a coastal model with resuspension turned on turbidity is also a component for consideration
