Do you ever get to mid-March and wish your fitness was a couple of notches higher?
Lonnie and I are organizing a spring training week March 12-16th. We are planning a series of long back to back training rides, including alternating gravel and road rides. These rides are for people looking to significantly boost their fitness level in a short period of time. At the same time, they are no-drop rides. The pace will be mostly easy to moderate with occasional harder efforts. Start times will typically be 2 pm (for the warmer part of the day) but may be earlier.
We need interested participants to respond with the rides they are interested in so we know who wants to go on what ride. A lack of responses may result in the ride being cancelled.
Tentative plan (may be adjusted pending weather)
1. Sunday 3/12 - Lake Hope/ Zaleski SF gravel loop (gravel + road) 50 miles, 4-5 hours
2. Monday 3/13 - Hocking Hills Road Ride (not always smooth, but doable on a road bike) 60 miles, 5 hours
3. Tuesday 3/14 - rest or easy recovery ride 25 miles, 1-2 hours, on your own or with others
4. Wednesday 3/15 - Sciota trail (gravel + road) 60 miles, 5 hours
5. Thursday 3/16 - Hockingport loop (aka Clev 65) or Rim of the World (road) 65+ miles, 4-5 hours
Not everyone needs to do every ride. You can pick and choose. But we need to know if you plan to join a given ride.
The final schedule will be sent in a couple of days along with more details.
We hope that you can join us for one or more of these rides. Please let us know which rides you want to go on.
Thanks,
Art and Lonnie
