Is it worth to retry solving?

I'm running a local astrometry build and I'm wondering if there is any point in retrying solve-field after it fails to solve a picture.

Is there any random/heuristic part of solve-field that would make it worth retrying? Or should I expect solve-field to fail every time if I run it with the same image and hints?

No, there's no randomness.  The only thing that is stochastic is that we decide we have failed by timing out, and exactly how much work the CPU does before timeout can vary.  But that's a small variation at the edges.
