ASIFA figure drawing this Thursday, 5/9/24

Howdy, figure drawing folk!

It’s sign up time for the monthly ASIFA Figure Drawing Class: Thursday, May 9th, 2024.

The class is run by myself and Matthew Bagshaw. He is the Piedmont Park Green Market Manager, and runs several programs through the Piedmont Park Conservancy. 

Location: 

Piedmont Park Community Center building,1071 Piedmont Ave. 

There is parking behind the building, but it fills up fast on nice days (folks going to the park). There is paid parking at the Botanical Gardens down Piedmont, or across the street from the park. Give yourself extra time to find a spot! 

Pro tip- get there early and eat at Willy’s or in the park. Then stroll over to the class!

Additional 2024 Figure Drawing Dates:

June 6th

July 18th

August 22nd

September 26th

October 17th

November 7th

December 12th

The class is from 7-9pm, an hour earlier than our previous class. Other than that, we will run it pretty much like before- lots of quick action poses for fast gesture drawing, with a few longer poses at the end (10/15/20 minutes). Feel free to bring your easels.
