Comrades,

There has been a vicious rumor going around that particular members of 7G (yes, even Michael Daniel) will be interested in getting and XBONE.  I am here to tell you that these rumors are absolutely true.

Preliminary research has shown that the going rate for an Xbox One is $399.99. This is for the console plus one controller. However, there are a variety of package deals that offer the likes of Madden ’15, FO’ FREEThis package deal includes the console, one controller, and Madden ’15. You’ll also be able to browse the other ones, but it seems like our interest lies primarily in that one.

Obviously, we’ll need to do better than that. In my estimation we will need some, if not most of the following as well:

So if we start small and build up our collection, I reason we can get started pretty well with a total initial investment, somewhere in the neighborhood of $600. Doing the maths, this would come out to something like $100 per person (I think).

Major dates coming up are:

  • August 26: Madden ’15 is released
  • September 9: NHL ’15 is released
  • September 23: FIFA ’15 is released
  • November 11: Halo Master Chief Collection is released
  • December 31 (may be earlier): Halo 5 is released

I’ll be keeping my eyes out for any deals I can spy online or otherwise that could help us save some bucks, but realistically, savings would amount to something like $20-30, which, is a few dollars per person.

So, with all this said, who wants to bone?

Eddie

Besides the fact that I have zero interest in buying into any xbone games without halo in the title I think now is a bad time to buy an xbone. Ps4 is beyond killing xbone in sales right now, and if Microsoft wants to stay in the console race they need to outsell sony by quite a bit soon. Microsoft has already announced a holiday xbone bundle valuing the console at under $300 in Europe, and my guess is we'll see the same if not better in the US come November.

You guys can buy what you want, but I'm out for now.

Also, since I'm a huge nerd, the earliest projected release for halo 5 is fall 2015, over a year from now, but I half expect it to be delayed until 2016 or later.

I concur, bone exclusives are limited to Halo which isn't even out, and a lot of uninteresting shit in the meanwhile.

$550 for two games is not a good deal.

I say get said sports games for 360 and save a lot of money

I am coming to see the light, and am inclined to forgo the bone. Sports games also don’t typically bring out the best of a console. I won’t be stopping in the middle of beating the Beej to all shit to say, ‘damn, these graphics are great.’
