Dear ARNOVA Data and Analytics Group Members-

We are excited to announce that it is official - the ARNOVA Board approved our section application. Thank you and congratulations!
The Board remarked that this section “is an important one for ARNOVA given the massive expansions in data availability and new methods for analysis.” The approved by-laws are located here: https://bit.ly/3gKQBI3.
Moving forward, we have a few items that need attention prior to the conference. First, our premier Annual Section Business Meeting has been scheduled:

Second, we need to elect officers and members at large positions for the Executive Committee.
The Executive Committee is comprised of a Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and five At-Large committee members. The committee will plan events like colloquiums or awards for next year’s conference, and consider other ways to advance the mission of the group. Formal descriptions are available in the by-laws.
To start this process, we are asking that you volunteer yourself or submit nominations by October 1st so that we can hold a vote prior to the business meeting: NOMINATION FORM
You can find a list of people who signed the section membership application here: https://bit.ly/3jz7rey. You are also welcome to nominate ARNOVA members not on this list. Self-nominations are also encouraged.
We will confirm the nominee's willingness to serve and send a ballot out to members of the ARNOVA Data and Analytics Google group by 10/15/20. Voting will take place between 10/15/20 and 11/1/20. We will announce the Executive Committee members at the business meeting.
Due to the virtual nature of this conference and the late section approvals we will not be organizing any events at ARNOVA this fall, but come to the business meeting with ideas for next year.
