Please read: New Data and Analytics Section at ARNOVA

Dear Colleagues -

We are writing to request your signatures to support the formalization of the Data and Analytics group as an official Section at ARNOVA. 

The mission of ARNOVA’s Data and Analytics (DAS) Section is to build a community of scholars committed to improving access to data and methodologies that advance research and practice in the nonprofit sector.

Sections offer space on the conference schedule for symposiums or workshops, and some financial support for programming. 

This request is time-sensitive. We need your signatures by this Friday, May 15th, for the section to be approved at the upcoming ARNOVA Board Meeting.

We are also looking for volunteers for an Organizing Committee to brainstorm ideas for workshops or panels at the ARNOVA conference this fall. Please let us know if you are interested. 

Moving forward, nominations for officers will be solicited before the November conference data, and once elected the leadership team will take over logistics for the subsequent year. 

The bylaws are attached. They will become active when the section is approved, and can be amended at our first meeting if necessary.
