Inline XBRL Viewer Fails to Load

Hello Arelle users,

We recently upgraded to the newest Arelle version and discovered that the EdgarRenderer for the inline XBRL previewer isn't working if the filing has an  XBRL validation error in it. In the past, the inline viewer would render and our clients could proof the project while we worked to fix the validation errors.

The error is a "file not found" message in the browser window that should contain the inline XBRL preview. We have been able to replicate this for different projects of different form types and taxonomies (IFRS and US-GAAP). It was not a problem before upgrading to the latest Arelle version.

Thoughts/comments? Is this a bug or some kind of intentional feature?

Thanks for reaching out about the ixviewer issues you are having with the EdgarRenderer. There have been many updates to the EdgarRenderer over the last 6months pushed by the SEC as the maintainers of that plugin. The Inline XBRL view from locally installed Arelle with EdgarRenderer plugin is not showing the MEASURE of the fact, and the FOOTNOTE attached to the fact:

 

 

However, the EXACT SAME FILING live on EDGAR shows the measure and the footnote:

 

 

Is there an additional plugin required locally, or a configuration difference? Any thoughts or help will be greatly appreciated.
