Hello,

My name is AJ Cuddeback and I am a 3rd-year PhD student at CU Boulder studying remote sensing. I am working on a project that is attempting to do precipitation measurements with 5G cell signals.

I was wondering if I could meet with someone in the ARA lab (ideally working with Open RAN) to get your perspective on challenges and opportunities in leveraging 5G infrastructure to aid in precipitation monitoring. I know that there is still a long way before 5G infrastructure is widespread in farming, but it seems like your lab is at the forefront and I would love to discuss your perspectives on my work and how it could be developed to have the widest reach.

Could we call to talk about this topic sometime this week? Maybe Thursday at 1pm MT? If this doesn't work for you, I'm very flexible on Fridays.

Looking forward to connecting with you,
AJ

Hi AJ Cuddeback,

Thanks for reaching out and your interest in the ARA Testbed. We can schedule a call sometime this or next week to discuss this further. I’ll check with the availability of our team members who are working on Open RAN and get back to you.

Regards
