Is there a current roadmap for offline maps for the iOS app?  Plan on using the app and the TNC3 when offroading or in the back country, and 90% of the time cell service isn't available.

Offline road maps are not on the roadmap currently. Apple Maps does not
support it, so it'd be quite a big project to add a totally different map
drawing system.

Priorities currently are messaging and software "soundcard" modem support.

Messaging please. The software soundcard support sounds cool too.

Thanks.

Hello Robert,

I have the exact same use case.  Did you find a solution?  I'm pretty sure APRSDroid can do it, but want to stay in the Apple universe if possible.

Thanks,

Yes  I needed up going to aprsdroid and it’s connector to maps on  backcountry navigator.   Aprsdroid itself maps are google and not great off road.

Are there any plans in the future to add offline mapping or maybe allow the app to interface with BackCountry Navigator XE? It would really enable a lot to be able to plot APRS stations on topo maps.

No, not any reasonable current plans. It would be nice, but it's a large
project, and but not very high on the priority list currently.

I don't think that application on iOS even has an API to interface with.
