You probably need to turn the unit around.

That'd make the pitch wrong 😂
Avare classic has a config setting for roll reversal. Doesn't the new on too?

You need to ask that question to stratux. I am curious why they are doing it reverse of everybody else.

I do have a stratux and it works fine.

If it is an orientation thing, you might have to set the "AHRS Sensor Orientation" in the stratux settings.
Load the stratux webpage 192.168.10.1, go to settings in the upper left menu.

Hope that helps

in avare classic there is a setting to reverse the PDF roll which corrects the issue but this option is not available in avarex.

It was explained a few days before that you need to do it in the stratux settings.

Stratux for some reason has reverse roll compared to other adsb manufacturers like ilevil.

Please report the issues solved here and the reaction speed of the AvareX PFD which some have complained to be slow.

Those using PDF in AvareX with Stratus, is there anything special you had to do to get it to work? I wifi my tablet to the Stratux and can see traffic in AvareX but PDF does not do anything.

Working with Mike offline, we determined that the stratux wasn't getting a GPS fix which was apparently inhibiting AHRS-related GDL90 messages.  When the stratux had a GPS fix, the AvareX PFD layer was responding as expected, albeit with reversed roll orientation.

Regarding reversed roll orientation with AvareX and stratux, I've submitted modified code via Github that auto-detects the stratux via identifying GDL90 heartbeat messages and then reverses the roll orientation automagically.

I heard someone say in the forum that stratux has a setting to correct the roll.

Bradley and I believe the probable cause of me not getting a good GPS fix is because my Stratux is using an internal GPS. When I took the Stratux out of the plane and set it outside with a clear sky view the PFD layer started working, albeit reversed. It was still kinda flakey though and I noticed that accessing the Stratux AHRS directly every once in a while it was losing it's GPS fix. It seems like maybe with the internal Stratux GPS AvareX is fighting with the GPS in my Android device and maybe also getting some other interference. I have ordered an external corded GPS for my Stratux like Bradley is using. Hopefully that will help my problem. I'm sure having the GPS up overhead in the skylight of my plane and separate from everything else certainly won't hurt.

I am hopeful that Bradley's automatic reversal code gets implemented. That way whether looking at the AHRS directly or using the AvareX PFD layer both will show roll correctly.

It might have been me but maybe just offline individually to amplify something said on the forum.  While I did find it possible to configure the stratux to roll reverse for AvareX by doing the opposite of the stratux-provided instructions via their config web page, that seemed very clunky -- and it then reversed the stratux internal PFD display.  That seems like a lot to ask, especially if you're not a stratux DIY'er like me.

So, hopefully you'll find the AvareX automagic stratux detection/reversal acceptible.  Should be much easier for folks, preserves the stratux PFD depiction (see attached picture of both), and aligns with your no-config "just works" goal.

BTW, I'm fortunate to have my UF office <1nm from GNV so my stratux can tune the ADSB tower on the field for UAT/weather data, and get traffic which due to proximity causes alerts (audible, orange disk), so test cases are pretty good.

Blue Skies!
