If avarex is intended to be opensource, would you please consider updating the license and disclosing it as such? currently it shows the following against the code on github:
Copyright 2024 Apps4Av Inc.

Contact app...@gmail.com for commercial use of code.

That is not an opensource license..instead you advertise as if you intend (I hope at least) an actual opensource license with commercial limitations so commercial entities can't sell harvested code for free:
for example:
AvareX is dual licensed:
 1. AGPL v3 — for personal use, self-hosting, and open source projects. See https://www.gnu.org/licenses/agpl-3.0.html
 2. Commercial license — for use in proprietary or commercial products. Contact app...@gmail.com to obtain a commercial license.

This along with a disclosed contributor license agreement - would be awesome. And would make this project much more attractive to developers, with an interest, to participate.

Respectfully,
Isa

Hi Isa

AvareX does not allow copying of code without permission for commercial use as the file header says. However code is available for anyone to take a look and learn / play with it for personal use.
Avare is open source GPL and you can use it for anything as long as original contributors are acknowledged.

Thanks

thank you for the quick response! Ok that is good to know. I'm currently evaluating how I'd want to solution an integration with my GRT and custom avionics.
