Avare x ADSB connect

I just found out about the new AVARE X and downloaded it. But I am not able to connect my ADSB to the new program. Can somebody please explain how to connect it?

John,

AvareX will automatically connect to the ADS-B in source (assuming it is GDL-90).  However make sure that you do not have any other program looking for the ADS-B data running on your tablet at the same time as only one application can receive the data at a time.

I have a Stratux. And I see the new Avare X only has a bluetooth connection and not wifi. The Stratux does show up on the bluetooth but I don't know how to get it to connect. I have tried to pair it but it fails. Any ideas?

It works with wifi. Just connect your device to the wifi signal first, and when you open AvareX it should automatically receive the ADSB signal.

I did finally get it working. But,  I do have one question. Is there a limitation on how far out traffic is shown on the screen? I ask this because on the old Avare I was able to get traffic for about 50-100 or more miles from my location. And the new app appears to only go out to the 10 mile ring.
