Running Windows 11, small icon on the left with arrow I clicked a bunch of times, made the icons nice and big by clicking the arrow on the top left. Now how do  make them so smaller again? No way to scroll the bar in windows by holding the mouse and no way I've found to make them small again.

Thanks

I can scroll on Windows using touch pad of my laptop. You need to find how, either with touch pad or with your mouse. It's different for every PC.

On the right side of the strip you should see an icon allowing you to shrink the them again

Well I don't have a touch pad on my PC, I've tried right and left holding the mouse. I'd much rather make them small like they where before clicking on the arrow. If you can make them big there should be a way to make them small again.

LOL there is no way to get to the right side of the strip on a PC, you can't drag the icons, I can hold one down and move one only. I can only expand the program so big but still can't get the right side of those icons..

It can be done as I just did it.

Gotta love the "It can be done as I just did it" responses.  LOL

That doesn't help the people that CAN'T do it.  I'm another one that can't do it either on my PC.  Windows 11 (haven't tried Linux yet) without a touchscreen.  No way to scroll to the right to decrease font size and can't drag and hold to rearrange the boxes.  Works fine on my iPad, I scrolled to the right, decreased the font size, and rearranged the boxes.  Just not on the non-touchscreen windows laptop.  Is the touchscreen coding the variable here?  My window looks the same as  dpd...@gmail.com's at the top, with no way to get to the right.

Just rebooted into Ubuntu.  Couldn't scroll to the right to get to the font decrease button and couldn't rearrange the boxes either.

Please dont make a drama. It's location is easy to change, just need to confirm it's really needed or if there is a workaround.

For the people that cannot get the instruments strip at the top to scroll for Windows, here's what works for me:

-Mouse wheel.  My mouse has a scroll wheel that also moves left and right.  Moving the mouse wheel left and right moves the instrument strip.

-Also, you can hold the shift key and use the mouse wheel as you would for scrolling up and down.  The shift key plus the mouse wheel scrolls left and right.

The pointer needs to be on the instrument strip at the top for this to work.

Only have touchpad here and no mouse.  I can rearrange the icons, but not scroll.

Richard,

On my laptop, I can touch 2 fingers on the touchpad and move them left and right to scroll the instruments at the top.  The pointer will need to be on the strip of instruments at the top.

Richard, just a thought: have you tried the right arrow key in combination with either control, shift, or the Windows key? You might need to search for keyboard shortcuts and accessibility.

Keyboard Shift with mouse scroll wheel also work.

As has been noted earlier in the group, different PCs have different methods.  Here are three that worked for me on different systems I have access to:

 - If you have a middle mouse button, hold it while moving the mouse right or left (start with pointer over the strip at the top)
 - If you have a pad or isopoint stick with a middle button, hold it down while moving right or left
 - If you have a pad with no buttons, two fingers right or left

Works for me as well.  Thanks!!  The shift & mouse scroll function is something new for me.

Takes a little doing with the two-finger touchpad, but I can scroll left and right and also move the boxes around.  That one will take a bit more practice for me, its still hit or miss whether I move a box or it scrolls left/right.
