Our dear friend Marty Rosenblatt passed away last night (May 26, 2026).

The following poem is one he chose for the Applied Precognition Project as a symbol of harmony between the physical universe and the universe of collective consciousness:

  Inline image
Through time-clouds I fly to days gone by.
Physical limited are all left behind.
The future and past, all in my grasp,
For Pegasus shows me the key's in my mind.
Horse of poetry, Light,
Inspirational height,
Your companion I'll be
New lands shall I see.

Marty, was one of the most influential people in my life.
His passing is profoundly difficult to comprehend.
I had done my RV training 10 years before meeting Marty but wasn't using it.
I had also gone to psychic school and left RV behind, but that all changed, when I met Marty.
Marty had bought a mailing list with my name on it and in 2011 he sent out an email promoting an ARV conference in Wisconsin, that never happened, because Marty's father passed away.
But I signed up before it got cancelled. I actually signed up immediately after receiving the email. I had no idea what ARV was, but I knew this event was for me.
The day before the event, at 7 AM, Marty called me and woke me up to tell me to not get on the airplane. And then he engaged me in conversation, curious to know something about me.
He asked me where i lived and what my career was.
I had already cancelled my flight but from that moment on I was friends with Marty and attended many of the conferences and taught at some and ran the none ARV group for APP.
Knowing Marty has profoundly influenced my life.
He was one of the smartest people I have ever met.
God bless you Marty! You are loved and missed!

A lot of you have expressed your condolences about Marty, and I want to join you. Marty and I had many discussions, both in person and by phone, at least since 2001, when I was the viewer for what may have been his very first ARV experiment. And it was successful. Marty graciously let me use all the sessions I produced during that project (somewhere in the neighborhood of 40) as examples in my own comprehensive ARV course that I have taught numerous times since. Some of you may even be graduates of it. I thought that as a fitting tribute, I would include the attached photo of him at the 2011 IRVA Conference at dinner with Russell Targ and my son Christopher. It's a sad irony that Russell, now into his 90s, is still with us, and Marty isn't. I of course rejoice that Russell is still here. I would rejoice considerably more if Marty were too.

In great sympathy,
Paul

I never had the opportunity to meet Marty in person, but the several exchanges we’ve had here over the years were always so insightful. My condolences and empathy to all.

He made me feel sane when I felt crazy haha and told me there was a name for what I was experiencing,  “Disappearing object phenomena.” I’ll never forget!
He was always so helpful and wise. He too understood that knowledge of humanity’s origins were suppressed…& that were potentially capable of so much more!

Now we have Marty on the other side and I hope he helps guide each of us on our journeys through this realm.

Would you guys be down to join me for a mass meditation/prayer for Marty? Wherever you are,

If you so wish, hold space in your heart for Marty at 3:33pm MST today…

I’ll light a candle and hold him in my thoughts and prayers as well.  And don’t worry if you see this late- isn’t time just a social construct anyway?

I’ll be asking him for a sign... my only sibling recently passed in the end of Jan as well.. all of me wants to believe they live on elsewhere.

May they both dance in the light before finding their way to all that is.

I am deeply saddened by Marty’s passing, and I send my heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and to all those whose lives he touched.

Marty opened a door for many of us. Through APP, he created more than a community, a meeting place for curiosity, consciousness, experimentation, friendship, and shared discovery.

I will always be grateful for the months of ARV work, the Firefly project, the conversations, and the spirit of play  that he encouraged. For me, APP was not only a place to learn; it was a place where I found people who were willing to look beyond the ordinary and ask deeper questions together.

May his spirit continue its journey in the vast consciousness he so loved to explore.

I want to join in all the touching words being said about Marty. He was truly an incredible, unique person. He held a very important place in my life, even though we didn't communicate frequently. He genuinely opened up the entire universe of ARV for me. Back in 2013, at my very first APP conference, I received a powerful impulse from him that still drives me to this day. Thank you, Marty! Your image will forever remain in my memory as a man who boldly stepped into the unknown and blazed new trails. I am proud to have known you and to have learned from you.

Today, I would also like to share an almost mystical case involving the image of Pegasus, which, of course, stands closely alongside the figure of Marty in my mind. At the time, this case radically changed my ARV practice and, I dare say, even my paradigm of reality.

One morning in 2016, right after waking up, I suddenly and unexpectedly remembered a Chinese parable that I had read about 30 years prior in a J.D. Salinger novel and hadn't thought of since.

Here is the text:

Duke Mu of Chin said to Po Lo: ‘You are advanced in years. Is there any member of your family whom I could employ to look for horses in your stead?’ Po Lo replied: ‘A good horse can be judged by his build and parts, his bones and muscles. But a superlative horse — one that raises no dust and leaves no tracks — is something evanescent and fleeting, elusive as thin air. Inside his family, talent is lower. My sons can tell a good horse when they see one, but they cannot tell a superlative horse. I have a friend, however, one Chiu-fang Kao, a hawker of fuel and vegetables, who in the matter of horses is altogether my equal. Seek him out.’

Duke Mu did so, and subsequently dispatched him on a quest for steeds. Three months later he returned with the news that he had found one. ‘It is now in Shach'iu,’ he said. ‘What kind of a horse is it?’ asked the Duke. ‘Oh, it's a dun-colored mare,’ was the reply. However, when the horse arrived, it turned out to be a coal-black stallion! The Duke was much displeased, and sent for Po Lo. ‘The man you sent to look for horses is a failure,’ he complained. ‘He cannot even tell one color from another, or a stallion from a mare! What can he know about horses?’

Po Lo heaved a deep sigh of satisfaction. ‘Has he really attained to that?’ he cried. ‘Then he is worth a thousand of me. Why, what Kao keeps in view is the spiritual mechanism. In making sure of the essential, he forgets the homely details; intent on the inward qualities, he loses sight of the external. He sees what he wants to see, and not what he does not want to see. He looks at the things he ought to look at, and neglects those that need not be looked at. So clever a judge of horses is Kao that he has it in him to judge something higher than horses.’ And when the horse arrived, it turned out indeed to be a superlative horse.”

And now, 30 years later, remembering this story, it struck me that seeing the essence of things rather than their outward appearance is precisely the core quality of a viewer.

Later that same day, after lunch, I decided to do a prediction for a sports event. I used the self-judging method, which I had also originally learned from Marty. My ARV session pointed quite clearly toward one of the target images. I am including it here.

But when I looked closer during the analysis, I realized that this exact image featured that very flying horse from the Chinese parable I had recalled in the morning— present in four instances, only in the form of Pegasus. I knew instantly that this would be the winning picture. And so it was.

It was then that I understood why I had remembered the Chinese parable about the superlative steed that morning. Recalling this story was my subconscious mind's attempt, early in the morning, to give me information about what awaited me in the second half of the day. My subconscious already knew everything since the morning: it knew that after lunch I would be making a prediction, it knew which game I would choose, and it knew which image would be associated with the winning team. It knew everything This case revealed to me that our subconscious utilizes every available opportunity to transmit information to us — not just through the RV session itself, but through our entire life. Since then, this realization has transformed my ARV sessions, expanding them, so to speak, into life itself.

But what was most astonishing to me is that this entire new path began precisely with the image of Pegasus. The very Pegasus that Marty chose as the symbol for his project. There is no doubt that Marty, just like the wise judge in that Chinese parable, knew how to choose horses and knew how to see the essence…

Best,
Yury Pichugin

Through time-clouds I fly to days gone by.

For Pegasus shows me the key's in my mind.

I'm grateful to have encountered Marty in this life and know - without feedback - that his awareness and curiosity have only grown with his passing.

My deepest condolences to Marty’s family. It was an honor and so much fun working with Marty that summer in the Psi-Kids/Adult online psychic development course!  I will remember him with deep fondness, gratitude, and a smile for the joy and spirit he brought to our work together. I am grateful to have shared this experience with him. 🙏
