Hello there,
I have a drop cap issue.
When I use the drop cap style for just one letter it looks fine:

But when I add more than one character - it is too big.

Any workaround for this?
Thanks,

Hi Christine,

Drop caps is always tricky to get right because of its dependence on various factors including individual font in use, and Kindle seems to make drop caps much bigger than Epub viewers. But if you're targeting a single platform one way you could reduce the size is to edit the paragraph properties, and in the drop caps tab under "Custom CSS properties", click "Insert Defaults". Now you can type specific numbers to replace some of the attribute default values. For example, you could replace with $FONT-SIZE$ with 160%, and you should see smaller drop caps.

You can do this globally for a project, but per-configuration, by editing the "Drop caps CSS" configuration property as per above.

Regards,

Julian
