Word Categorization - Verb, adjective etc.

Started another thread as I have a different query. Does Antconc support categorization of words into verbs, adjectives, nouns and function words?

Hi,

AntConc does support searching for these features, but you have to give it a POS tagged corpus to work with. You can create a POS tagged corpus using my TagAnt tool.

Does the TAGant tool support tamil for this purpose? Because I see that it is not listed in available languages for processing.

Hi,

I'm sorry to say that TagAnt doesn't support Tamil. When the underlying SpaCy model becomes available, then I can add it to TagAnt.

https://spacy.io/usage/models

But, AntConc can work with any tagged data, so if you can find a Tamil tagger, AntConc can work with the output from that.
