Using the Most Used Adverbs and Verbs

Hello,

I am trying to collect corpora to find out which adverbs and verbs were used frequently but I do not know how to do that. Thank you in advance for your contribution.

Hi,

For this, you'll need to to POS tag your data. You can use my TagAnt tool to do that. Once you do that, you can load the raw files into AntConc using the Corpus Manager checking the simple_word_pos_headword indexer option. Then, you can search for the POS tags to get your results. I hope that helps!

Hello again Professor,

I uploaded my raw files and chose that simple_word_pos_headword indexer option. The program said it was completed. However, I do not know how to search for POS TAGS. For example, how can I search for RB  or ADV (Tags for adverb if I am not mistaken)? Thank you

This is explained in the help guide, but you can simply search as below:

*_RB

*_ADV
