Conference problem

Hi, 

i have the following problem: if i create a conference with 20 people, the usage of cpu (not of the server, but of the personal notebook) is massive.

For example i have the 88% cpu usage for chrome. 

How can resolve this?

P.S.: i have set the bandwidth at 400Kb for reduce the quality and the traffic which come from the video.

I think we need MCU support on the server to reencode in one stream. Did you try reducing the bandwidth etc when the number of users increases? I have similar requirements where we have 6-7 users. In my case 2 users are hosts and the remaining 5 are audiences.  To optimize this we reduce the framerate for the audience stream etc but still CPU usages go up.

For the moment i have changed the bandwidth to 400 kbit/s. But i have more users than you and also in conference mode.

What do you mean when write that you have host and audiences? If i use conference mode, i don’t think have possibile to choise from host and audiences (always if i have undestood what you mean with host and audience->like twitch, play and publish)

How can i reduce frame rate? Which is the parameters that i have to modify?

MCU mode is the only true option if you want more than 10 users.

MCU would be a major upgrade for Ant and from what I have understood, it is in Ant roadmap.

There is nothing you can do w.r.t. running Ant EE in MCU mode (unfortunately!)
