Use Ansible to build VMware VSphere ESXi Hosts

I have been reading all about Ansible being used to deploy new VM guests from CLI and playbooks etc

I understand that layer of automation and the benefits.

What I am not sure about is the benefits and whether Ansible can be used to `build' ESXI hosts - that is install the ESXI OS ?

I know these builds are really quick easy and you can blueprint ESXI host using VMware CLI - but I am not sure about using Ansible ?
