Using Ansible with Cloudformation

I am trying to use ansible to provision a CoreOS cluster and I am newbie to Ansible. I followed the directions for the ansible cloudformation module but I am lost as to what should be the contents of my hosts file? Will appreciate any assistance. Thanks.
