Nesting Host Groups Inside Inventory?

Hello all,
I was looking to find the best way duplicate attributes of one inventory group to another however I want to keep them separate for organizational reasons. I thought that I might be able to nest Group2 inside Group1 to inherit its attributes but the closest I could find to that was creating groups with the :children suffix. However what I was aiming to do was for one group to inherit the changes of another, but to still be separate since the roles are fundamentally different.
- Since I already have modified a specific service configuration on Nagios to target Group1 , I would like to know how I can duplicate that to other group(s) without further modifying the Nagios service.
[Group1] - Nagios Targeted Group
server1.domain.com
server2.domain.com
