Having the same issue as:

Python version is 3.2.3 on Freebsd9.

Python 3.2.3 (default, Aug 30 2012, 13:58:20)

Your Python version is too old, the managed node requires Python 2.7 or 3.5 or newer https://docs.ansible.com/ansible/latest/installation_guide/intro_installation.html#managed-node-requirements.
