Hi all, we're happy to announce that RC4 for 2.2.0 is now available for testing.

This release candidate addresses the following bugs:

* Fixed a bug related to the calculation of the max number of forks to use, which was broken by the variable serial batch feature.
* Fixed a bug which could occur in the way results were processed from squashed item lists.
* Fix for su prompts which contain unicode.
* Backporting docker and azure fixes from devel.
* Fix for lxd_container module failure when certificate already in trust store.
* Fixed some bugs in win_shell/win_command.
* Improved handling of proxy headers in module_utils fetch/get_url common code.
* Additional Python 3 improvements and bug fixes.

How do you get it?

The tar.gz of the release can be found here:

SHA256: 53b34abae8c96568f8b93db7e52a35a84d64ef5e40834e9fd568ef9bcf867083

You can also test against the git repository as follows:

$ cd ansible
$ git checkout v2.2.0.0-0.4.rc4
$ git submodule update --init

You can then source our testing script:

$ . hacking/env-setup

or you can build your own .tar.gz (output will be dist/ansible-2.2.0.0.tar.gz):

$ make sdist

If you discover any errors, or if you see any regressions from playbooks which work on 1.9.x and prior, please open a Github issue and be sure to mention you're testing against this release candidate.

Thanks!
