I'm not sure if ansible would be the right tool for this, but if you
already have the exact steps (bash? etc), then you could give it a try
automating those.
It all depends on the exact steps - the phrase "manually convert to
git" can mean anything.
Since you already did this, you know exactly what the steps are.
If you can share them, then we can give some general direction.

There are already special tools for this (e.g. svn2git).
Why reinvent the wheel?
