Failed to validate the SSL certificate for launchpad.net:443

Often I get this error. I wait a few hours and try again and it works.

How to solve or alleviate this problem?

If it's really about waiting some amount of time then it sounds like something in the network.

Otoh, if it's that in one attempt you are hitting a certain host at launchpad.net that we are able to verify and then hit another host that we are not able to verify then it is something else. Perhaps a misconfigured server among a set of load balanced web servers at launchpad or perhaps some of the hosts serving launchpad require sni (which ansible can only support when running on python 2.7.9 or better) while others do not.
