url content truncated

I'm trying to retrieve the vCloud vApp template via URI module using vCloud REST API and see the returned xml content is truncated and occasionally see the full XML being returned but most of the times the XML is truncated. Has anyone encountered an issue with URI content being truncated and how did you go about fixing it?
