Can anMoney be "Reversed Engineered"?

To the anMoney Faithful, I realize the developer (Tom, I believe) is no actively updating anMoney and is uncontactable.  But just wondering: is it possible to "reverse engineer" the app and get the code?  If this is completely impossible, please excuse me as I am not a coder.

I've also been using AnMoney  for a long time now, and the good thing is that I just updated my cell phone, to  S20+ and the program is running very well.

I think your idea is very interesting and I hope some expert could listen to us and continue the great work Tom did.

To the anMoney Faithful, Octavio, thanks for the reply.  Good to know that anMoney is running well on a S20+.  I was actually considering upgrading to the S21 Ultra, but continued use of anMoney was among the top 3 reasons I did not upgrade.  Yeah, a discontinued Android app influenced my phone purchasing decision.  I did come across a conversation thread where another anMoney user tried to get the source code from Tom (the developer) to no avail.  Also, this user indicated there are other reasons why it just may not be possible to update anMoney.  So, I guess I am looking at just keeping an older Android device to ensure my continued use of anMoney.  I guess that says a lot about the app!
