I managed to install the AnkiServer by running pip install --user AnkiServer

When I try ankiserverctl.py debug I keep getting: ImportError: No module named anki
Any pointers?

I edited my .bashrc and added a line:

export PYTHONPATH="${PYTHONPATH}:/home/my-username/path/to/anki-bundled/" (where the anki folder was)

remember to reload .bashrc or restart bash
