AnkiDroid not downloading deck or cards

I downloaded AnkiDroid and after numerous trials, got it to finally sync completely.  The sync message shows data being transferred, presumably from my Mac Ankiweb app.

However, after the sync, there's no change to AnkiDroid.  I'm not seeing my downloaded deck or its cards at all. The only deck that is showing is Default. Statistics show no changes.

I even tried Force Full Sync.  No changes.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Check that you're using the exact same email address on Android and Mac

Check that you're following the sync instructions exactly: https://docs.ankidroid.org/manual.html#_via_cloud_sync

Check that the data is showing up on Anki Web: https://ankiweb.net
