I'm not too experienced with a majority of the ins and outs of Anki. I've been using on my computer and phone, but there were some sync issues that I couldn't figure out between the Anki on the computer and Ankiweb v AnkiDroid on the phone. Recently lost a lot of images on the phone version as well for some reason, so I figured I'd back up the decks on the computer and then wipe app on the phone and just reinstall everything. But now the app is saying that there is no data or cards, even with the apkg file downloaded to the phone. Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks!

Hmm - this sounds a bit frustrating, sorry you're having trouble.

If I may make some assumptions? Please correct if wrong:

- AnkiDesktop and AnkiWeb are in sync with each other

- when you log in to AnkiWeb or AnkiDesktop, everything is the way you want it

If those are correct, we're in a good spot. We can fix AnkIDroid (that's our app, we're in control of it, but not AnkiWeb or AnkiDesktop)

Uninstall AnkiDroid

Get a good file manager app (there are bunches, I personally use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore but I'm not endorsing it other than to say it works for me

Use the file manager to delete the /sdcard/AnkiDroid directory completely (note! If my assumptions above are wrong - if your data isn't the way you want it on AnkiDesktop/AnkiWeb you will lose data! Careful)

Now you have a clean slate on your Android device

Install AnkiDroid, log in to AnkiWeb, sync, and...well wait for syncing because that's really slow until we release 2.16, we're sorry, but sync, maybe sync again a few times until it really downloads all the media, apologies, but then you should be set?
